Performer
Danielle’s performance experience is founded as a classical singer specializing in Baroque and contemporary performance, with a practice that spreads across Canada, UK, Ireland, and Bulgaria. Alongside her career as a Voice & Speech Coach, Danielle continues to perform in her spare time through the mediums of early music, traditional song and ‘multi-channel on-location vocal recordings’ with composer Dr Philip Reeder. A keen enthusiast of many musical styles, Danielle has explored singing practices with Kevin Crawford and Jonathan Hart (Roy Hart Theatre, Fr), Frankie Armstrong (UK), Meredith Monk (USA), Theatr Zar (Poland) and The Pilpani Family (Georgia) in contemporary, folk, Eastern European and Georgian singing styles, as well as connecting with her heritage of French Canadian and Scottish folksong. Additional collaborations with composers include: Isa Suarez, Federico Reuben, Tobin Stokes, Stephen Brown, and Murray Adaskin.

Testimonials
As a performer she is engaging, and her voice is sensational. She is a generous, skilful, and inventive collaborator. She is easy to work with and rehearsals can be tiring, but with Danielle it is always fun! – Kuldip Singh-Barmi (Performer, Improviser, Facilitator, Movement Director, Founding Member of Candoco Dance UK)
I programmed Danielle as one of the devising performers of ‘Practice No.21’ at Watch This Space, Dartington, UK 2019. The work was of very high quality and Danielle brought exquisite vocals to the performance. The piece was selected for its novel approach to spontaneous performance and the cross-disciplinary collaboration. – Dr Sue Smith (Former Directo of Dance in Devon, Founding Member of Candoco Dance UK)
Our first social meetings was at a traditional music session in a busy Cornish pub. Mostly the drinkers chat over the music, but when Danielle stood up and sang, the whole pub fell silent. It’s a stunning voice, clear and true but, with the additional actor’s instinct that Danielle has in spades, she achieves a hugely compelling level of expression and feeling and has great taste in the programs she chooses to sing. – Elaine Claxton (UK Actor)
